New pool owner / first year maintaining myself and looking for insight on a sudden drop in chlorine levels.

Chlorine has been stable all season between 3 and 4ppm; have salt water chlorine generator.
Two days ago, added 7 pounds of calcium as levels were a little low (230ppm).
The next day, chlorine levels were effectively zero.
Levels measured with Taylor test kit.

Could adding calcium have affected chlorine levels?

SWG appears to be on/working with no reported errors. SWG shows 2850ppm salt level. PH creeps up every week, but muriatic acid added regularly to keep around 7.2 - 7.5.

Pool / equipment are all new; installed June 2021.

Any insight would be appreciated.
