Can anyone help me makes sense of this?

Hello!

Here are some graphs from my test strip analysis (I do have the TF 100 on order). You can see where I added (the first time) 6lbs of shock (53%) and the three gal on bleach (10%). What baffles me is that my filter and pool are spotless. Newly cleaned filter and no organic matter in the pool and the chlorinepool akalinity.jpgpool free chlorine.jpgpool hardness.jpgpool PH.jpgpool stablizer.jpgpool total cholorine.jpg disappears overnight. And the CYA fluctuates too... and I've added none at all.

Looks like you have a graph of reasons not to use test strips ;) Until you get your test kit I would just assume a CYA level of 50 (I think that is what the graph says to small to read) Try to keep your chlorine level between 5 - 8 ppm with just bleach. I would stop using the shock it is likely adding CYA that may not show up on a test for several days, if your are truly at 50ppm CYA that is a good place to be, no need to go higher. The rest of the levels are fine until you can post a full set from a kit we can trust.
