Can anyone help me identify this filter. It was a freebie. I’d like to order new laterals for it and make sure it will work with my current pump.IMG_4086.jpegIMG_4089.jpeg

I think I’m reading correct this is a 1.5 pump. 70Gpm. Will it work ok with the above filter? I have no idea how to make those calculations. Any help would be appreciated!

The SP1500 series pumps from Hayward are above-ground pumps. The main issue is that those pump may not have the flow required to backwash a filter that size because when it gets hard to move water they tend to quit moving it. The pump needs to be able to "liquify" the sand in the tank. It weighs, if properly filled, 250# dry and about 375# wet. Won't hurt to try.
