Can 24 hrs be 16?

Trying to get my salt in range to turn on SWCG for first time. Salinity is at 2600 after multiple smaller additions the last being 16 hours ago. The salt is Clorox pool salt which mixes easily. How strict is the 24 hr time frame for additions?

It's not. It could be well mixed at 12 hours. But if you overshoot because you're impatient, you'll be draining that new salt and rebalancing all of them after.

It's just not worth it IMO.

Chlorox has bit many with iron staining. Use a different brand going forward.

I use the solar crystals when they're cheaper. (Not always). They're still gone in an hour or two and I need 6X to 7X the salt you do. I disturb the piles every half hour with the brush and by the 2nd or 3rd visit, it's all gone. It doesn't harm anything if it sits while it dissolves.
