Hey Everyone!

I just noticed from previous tests that the Calcium Hardness is hovering around 250. I did actually purchase a 25lb package of Calcium Chloride Compound...100% (Pool Mate brand from Amazon) just to have, and wondered if I should add the whole thing which would bring the hardness up to 400 ish.

Worth it or waste of time? If yes, should it be applied in the deep end (6ft deep) all at once? How would the community recommend to apply it?

Thanks!

250 ppm for CH is fine. Save what you have for if your CH drops below 200.

Your CSI is fine with that level of calcium.

What is the CH of your fill water?

Thank you for your reply!

Fill water comes from a hose but that line is actually connected to a whole home water filter and no-salt softener system. The CH of that fill water is about 50.

So takeaway is no action now. What about the application of the Calcium Chloride Compound when it's time? Deep end all at once?
