OK, next water balancing question. I've searched and read and it seems there there is conflicting info. I read somewhere on here that my CH should be 150 for a vinyl pool but I've also saw other people post that vinyl pools don't need any CH. My CH is sitting at 90 and my pool math app says to add 16 lbs to get it to 150. So should it be 150 or should I just leave it at 90.

Also, now that my SLAM is finished I'm my target FC is 5 based on a CYA of 40. So every evening I check it. Some evenings the FC is lower than the min of 3. Could that be an issue? I've been just bumping it back up to 5. Some days it's 4 but the past two days before I add my LC to get it back to 5 it's been 1.5 and 2.5.

Leave your CH where it is. On the FC.........either raise your CYA to help alleviate extra loss, or raise your FC "Target" to keep from falling below minimum. Can you pass an OCLT?
