I don't understand this either. If I follow the targets in my startup info (pH 7.2-7.6, TA 80-100 ppm, CH 250 ppm), the CSI is slightly negative. Trying to get a positive CSI, even not achieving +0.5, requires going higher than the recommendations from my plasterer on one or more of these parameters. (They reference NPT also)

My struggle here is figuring out which parameters to adjust.

My CH is 250ppm. I've been cautious about raising that too high, since it can't be lowered without draining water.

To get a CSI of +0.5, I could raise my pH to 8 and my TA to 170 ppm at 68F and CYA of 60. But then bringing down the TA after would require a significant amount of muriatic acid, and I'd have to aerate to get the pH back up.
