I have a Hayward Super Pump XE. After I finished cleaning the pump basket and turned the Pump back on I decided to change my schedule. After holding down the button like I normally do it got stuck pressed in. I can't find anything on the Hayward troubleshooting or searching here. Is this something that happens? Any fixes? The pump was installed in August of last year so it's less than a year old. I also didn't feel any debris that could cause it.

I have the same pump. Just so I understand, you pressed the held the button down and it didn't pop back to the original position? If so, that's a new one I have never seen, sounds like a mechanical failure of that mechanism. Have you tried to power off the unit for a few minutes? This sounds like a warranty claim.

Yes, that was what happened. The pump was running fine so I left it alone other than shutting off and on and it didn't do anything. This morning I went and checked it and touched it and it popped back up. So I'm guessing the vibrations loosened it? Hopefully it's not a regular problem.

Good morning. Are you still "stuck" there? Have you reached out to Hayward or whomever installed your pump by chance?
It fixed itself this morning before I had contacted anyone. I'm guessing the vibrations of the pump loosened it? I don't see any dirt that would've caused it. Very weird. I just had the pool installed late last summer so I've been learning a lot.

For warranty purposes, you might still reach-out to Hayward do that they are aware of what happened. Get it on record. If there's a repeat occurrence, they'll know this started now (Jun 2024) and not 6-mos to a year from now.

I had my pump (same one you have) for 3 years and never had that problem and I use that button a lot. I would keep an eye on it and maybe have you PB take a lott at it since it is fairly new.
