I am about to purge new A series tub and need to know if I should remove the simplicity filters and place them in the tub (as was the case with the round filters). Specifically, should I remove the filter from its housing and place in tub or leave in the housing with filter in the tub? I will rinse the filter off before purging either way.

Thank you!

I removed my new filters when I purged my new hot tub. Just wipe away whatever comes out during the Ahhsome purge. It will float on the top of the foam. Wear gloves as alot of stuff will come out.

Thanks for the reply! I probably should have mentioned the tub had been filled and used for about a week.. when I took the filter out it was surprisingly dirty/discolored

Thank you for the help, I much appreciate it. I probably should have mentioned that the hot tub had been used about 10days prior to purging. When I pulled the filter it was suprising to me to see how dirty and stained it appeared (I did check it was pearly white when delivered). These filters sure are effective! I pulled the filter out and sprayed it off... this was pretty much enough to remove most stains. I decided in the end to dunk the filters at the end of the purge (after the colorful biofilm/dirt was wiped off). -- I didn't run the pumps because the filter seems quite flimsy.
Using Aqua Clarity (12oz) there wasn't as much foaming as I remembered in past hot tubs and not a huge amount of colorful biofilm/dirt.
I already emptied it but now pondering a second purge (with much less aqua clarity) to see if anything else emerges. Also, unfortunately, the hot tub will be empty overnight.
Thanks again! 🙏
