building out a concrete pool wall for veneer

Hi guys, i’m trying to figure out the best product to use to build out the outside of my pool shell wall about 1/2”-3/4” I’m using a travertine veneer and the wall is both uneven as well as has some vertical conduit lighting runs that i need to “hide” behind the travertine. I plan on using a thinset to actually set the 3”x8” split-face travertine but i’m trying to figure out the best way to build out the concrete shell. thanks for the help!

I got it figured out. used a thinset on the concrete wall then wet-set built it out with Custom’s CustomFloat. Then waited 24hrs and used thinset to set the travertine. Turned out nice.
