Bucket test results

Completed my first bucket test after I found water next to the pool shell when replacing a feature valve. (The water was a foot below the valve and was there prior to removing said valve. Auto fill was off, equipment ran normally bucket was positioned on the sun shelf. Result, bucket lost more water than the pool. Not by a lot, but maybe a 1/4". Not sure what to make of that. Is that common?

That settles it then, your bucket is definitely leaking Seriously, yes, I would expect in our heat wave that the bucket walls got pretty hot, and your bucket water evaporated a bit faster.
