Should I be concerned about this air bubble/bubbles in my strainer pot? The multi port valve is making a crackling/rattling noise so I’m wondering if this could be related? The image of the bubbles in the strainer pot are attached.

Hi welcome to TFP. Do you use a SWG for chlorination? A SWG will produce some gas which may create some bubbles, especially if your pump is running at low speed. It does not appear you have a lot. Also, if you have opened up your pump basket, you may want to lube the oring real good to ensure a tight seal. You can release air trapped in your filter by opening the relief valve at top.
Please fill out your signature so we can understand your equipment set up. Need to know if you have a SWG, what type of pump, what type of filter, etc.
