Hi - no air bubbles in pump window when the DE filter is on recirculate, but when I move it to filter, I am getting massive amounts of air into the pump basket/window. I rebuilt the jandy valves with new rings and lube... Lubed the pump window gasket. Stumped? I do think my filter is due for a full cleaning, and pressure is high, but would this cause issues on what typically air leak before the pump. Thanks.

I think it's worth considering. When my filter gets full, I can tell not only from the increased pressure, but I begin to see a few more bubbles in the pump basket and first couple return jets. Kinds of a backlog of water (outgassing) effect I suppose. Based on what you've done so far, no issues when on circulate, and before exhausting yourself with any other suction line issues, the filter might be a good place to start.

I took apart the DE Filter. Holy Guacamole... I don't know what a typical dirty DE filter looks like, but this thing was plugged up beyond any normal level. I struggled to get the stuff loose and out from the inner section of the filter screens. I did it, next time might use a yardstick or something to get the stuff loose. I put the whole thing back together and added the fresh DE. Now pressure was at 12 and no more bubbles in the pump window.
