Broken filter components

Two questions. The O ring for the stand pipe in my filter is cracked. Needs replacement? And the air vent hose is cracked but still stands pretty straight. Does that also need replacement?

I would say Yes & yes. The O-ring at the top of the center pipe where it slips into the MPV/collar area should be in good shape. A little pool lube is a good idea as well. The vent tube should be serviceable and have the tiny mesh screen on the end.

Would it be possible to glue these together or I need to replace?

Pull out the lower piece and discard.

Cut the top piece square and install in the hole.

Install sock over piece.

Why does it seem like the air pipe is too tall for the filter?
