For those you dont know y Pentair SE died after 3 years like a lot of others so went back to a Polaris 360 and have no complaints.
Although it does a better job with leaf's the pool never looked at clean and I saw a " refurbished " nautilus cc Plus for $650 and it shipped from Maytronics.

Plan is to use it only in the summer and not leave it in the pool all the time and hope it last longer. I like the cleaner better then my old my old SE..Seems to climb better and clean better.
Just hope it last longer then 3 years!!! We are probably selling the house in a couple years.

Then in spring and Fall use the polaris.

I leave my robot in the pool all the time and it is now on it's 8th year. At least for our climate, the pool has a smaller 24hr temperature swing than it does outside the pool. Plus the seals are less likely to dry out when in the pool.

Chlorine is hard on the plastic but it doesn't seem to have caused much of an issue.

What failed in your robot?

The motor seals leaked and ruined it. Maytronics only sells the whole assembly for around $450.
The year is failed I left it in cold water ( probably 40 ish) but not sure if that impacted it or not.

In the winter, the pool water gets down into the mid 40s but again, it is better than the air which gets down into the 30s and sometimes freezing.
