Booster pump won't come on (video included)

OK ill give that a shot. Just wanted to make sure giving it less voltage wouldn't ruin the motor some how (115 when the old one was 165)

Ordered one exactly right that i will switch out when it gets here. Hopefully that is the problem, but at least i only spent $12 on it instead of the pool stores $70!

Well Crud. Took the existing one to get tested and it is fine. What's the next thing to test if the capacitor works and motor shaft spins? Or am I SOL and need new motor/booster?

The internal contacts could be dirty and not letting it fire up. Polaris pumps use to be know for that issue..

Have you confirmed the voltage at the motor terminals when it is supposed to be running?

No. I assume i hook it back up then test it when it is turrned on? I have a volt tester that should do it.
