Booster pump leaking at connection - best fix?

Hi all, my polaris booster pump appears to be leaking at the input and output connections. I'm assuming that these PVC connections are threaded and cemented to the input/output lines?

I'd love to just apply some extra sealant on the connections, but i'm guessing that probably won't be a real long-term fix?

I'm guessing that to fix this I'll need to:
1. Cut the lines above the connection(s)
2. Remove threaded connection(s)
3. Clean threaded connection(s)
4. Install new threaded connection(s) with new inline fitting

Questions:
Standard PVC cement on the inline fittings? or is there a better option?
What about sealant for the threaded connection(s) to the pump?
thanks!
