Question I have - If I’m correct #8 solid wire needs to buried 4 to 6 inches down according to code and 18 inches out a away from inside pool wall after connecting to lugs. My pool is dug out on one side 18 inches and I would like to start back filling it. Do I go ahead and install my bonding wire before back filling, meaning it would probably to deep for inspection? Or should I back fill now then dig back out for bonding 4 to 6 inches, this would mean my lugs would be 1/3 the way up my on the uprights. Is the the 4 to 6 inches minimal depth?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Unless the inspector tells you different I would keep the bonding ring somewhat near grade. Some day you may want to add some concrete or other material that will require a bond near the pool it would be nice not having to dig too deep to access the bond.
