Hello,

We are looking to put in a pool. Blue haven recommended their smart pure using UV/ozone to sanitize, which supposedly makes managing a breeze, feels better on skin, and uses much less chlorine. Could anyone with it share their experience? Is it worthwhile going with ozone/uv or traditional chlorine pool?

Thank you!

If you want easiest and cheapest option for sanitation, you need a salt water chlorine generator (SWG), sized for double the volume of your pool. Along with a variable speed pump and large cartridge filter.

Manage your own water chemistry with a quality test kit (TF Pro is a great value).

Understand the FC/CYA relationship and you will have algae free, crystal clear water in Houston every single day, all year long.

The only chemicals you need on a regular basis are Muriatic Acid and occasionally CYA (stabilizer). You’ll need salt a couple of times per year.
