Blue ray xl….

Greetings….hope I’m in the right place.
I have been using a Remington Solar pool ionizer in two separate pool that I own, and I am extremely happy with both…
Just today I spoke with a “pool boy” wh mentioned the “Blueray xl or PoolRx”
My questions are….
#1……how does this technology work.
#2…..can this/these be used with/while I’m using the Remington Pool ionizer
*Note…..***Note…..I can’t express this strong enough….be very careful if you opt to purchase one of these “knockoffs” from a site, where it seems to be just a little too cheap…

#1……how does this technology work

They add copper and silver to your pool, a.k.a, 'minerals'. They call them minerals instead of metals for 2 reasons.

1) it sounds all healthy and hollistic. ($$$$)

2) you never *ever* want to add metals to your pool.

Copper is an algae inhibitor, but it causes problems in pools and with swimmers. Copper isn't a contact killer so many add silver also, another slow sanitizer.

As such, you need to fully sanitize the pool with chlorine like you don't have the ionizer in the first place. Many don't. They listen to the bold faced manufacturer lies, and eventually will have problems. People have been trying to make these systems work here for 15 years. And that's the big, electric systems, not the cheapo solar floating thingies you mention.
