my pool had algae a few weeks ago and they come and go with shocks. Recently I added 16 oz SeaKlear algae removal and prevention (copper sulfate pentahydrate). Next day I saw a lot black thing on the wall and bottom. Are they copper or black algae?
Most algicides are counterproductive to cure an active algae bloom, you burn thru chlorine oxidizing the algicide. BTW, you want to keep anything with copper out of the pool, it eventually causes other issues.
Here is everything you ever wanted to know about algae, how to prevent, cure and test.
