Is it possible to get black algae just growing in the grout around and in between the tile line below the coping without it being in the rest of the pool plaster as well? (asking for a friend)...and NO........I don't have a plaster pool!

Could it be mold of some sort? Is their plaster very smooth? Is their grout very rough?
For dang sure black algae and plaster is a year to maybe 2 years old and pretty smooth. Thanks James.
Doesn't sound like anything that a dozen bottles of bleach and six bottles of wine won't fix then! And elbow grease.
