On getting rid of birds? Or dealing with bird poop?
Keep your FC at 10-12% of your CYA, check it a couple of times a day to make sure FC stays up. Dropping down toward minimum will likely result in an instant algae bloom. Also, brush any spots that make it to the bottom. [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]
Oh, I get this every spring. Every day I scoop out dozens of little poop-sacks from the blackbirds who feel my pool is their personal outhouse. Eventually the baby birds leave the nest (and take their poop with them LOL).
Elevate your FC as recommended and you will be fine.
My neighbor told me these black birds are protecting their young from predator by moving their poo and drooping it into pools so that the scent doesn't attract the predators. Apparently this is only for the first few weeks of June. I already noticed a drop in volume. So its very common.
