so a huge tree fell from my neighbors yard and did quite a bit of damage to my yard/house. a limb hit my piping and snapped a piece off. i’m wondering if this is something that can just be capped? it’s part of the piping to a booster pump that isn’t used (to my knowledge). i’ve attached some pics. need to get this thing up and running again asap before everything gets out of whack. thanks in advance!!

You are very fortunate it only damaged the inlet to the booster pump. At that Tee, try to cap that outlet as that is your return pipe. It may be threaded, hard to tell in your picture. I would try to unscrew it and buy a plug to screw back in.

so i should be able to cap at the T and disregard any of the other piping leading to and from the booster that may be damaged? that’s what i was thinking.

Yes. Later we can talk about bypassing the booster pump and simply tie into the cleaner line to make another return. That is not critical now. Just plug that Tee and start your filter pump again.
