How much muriatic acid would you recommend and do think it’s wiser to go to Home Depot for it ?Awesome! That cya is a great improvement. PH is a bit on the high end but shouldn't be top priority right now, I'm sure it'll get sorted out naturally. If not you can always add some muriatic acid to drop it to a 7.4.
Thank you !@Im not a poolman . Good to see you got the CYA down. Use the FC/CYA Levels to determine the proper FC. Don't dump all the chlorine in at once and try to nuke the pool. It will just be wasted chlorine.
Order the test kit and it will help you get through the SLAM prodces and then keep your pool clear all season.
You can buy a gallon at the place that is easiest or cheapest. Use Pool Math (App or link at the bottom of the page). Enter your pool volume, start pH, desired pH and TA. Then Pool Math will calculate it for you.

You put way too much chlorine!No 5 gal and 5 in the early evening chlorine is still to high to swim but pool looks great ! I am very happy Guy !
