This looks like an amazing community and i’m Grateful to the work by the admins for a super clean forum.

I’m an ex federal communications specialist (1st retirement) and a communications researcher at the University of Hawai’i School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST). (2nd retirement)

My research lab was responsible for supporting the folks that created the Fedora Linux Distro (my student Warren Togami) and thru DARPA the SensIT project was the foundation for Zigbee.

I’m hoping to automate my new pool (well we move in on April 9th) and while I could afford a pool service, it just makes more sense to automate the system to have it continuously monitor+adjust rather than the once a week visit bouncing Ph.

If anyone’s interested in listening to whales live from 85miles north of Oahu and 3 miles deep, you can listen live or once the group can sail again and fix the lights...we’ll also have live webcams.

Hi there! I would recommend that before you go all automation crazy, you learn how to take care of your pool simply. To see how it goes thru chemicals and learn its "personality". Then if the gadgets ever go all kaput, you'll know how to manage things.

I wanna hear the wales!!!

Now that Im done being distracted from your Aloha observatory website id like to say Welcome!! I just found this sight about a month ago and so far I am extremely happy with the results. I recommend getting the smart stir upgrade for whatever test kit you buy. Oh and the pool math app makes this game super smooth and easy.
