Hello, I have read many posts about bicarbonate start up method for newly plastered pools. Our new pool was just plastered yesterday. Unfortunately, the plaster contractor acid washed the surface of the plaster once they had finished the troweling. I waited about 4 hours after they were done before I started adding water. I added my fill water and baking soda via a 30 gallon barrel with a water hose filling it and 3 hoses led to the pool.
With my plaster being acid washed, is there benefit of me continuing with the bicarbonate method?
