Bestway pool help

I'm now on year 8 and just watching to see how long it will go. there is a new hole in the bottom (rock between foam and pool) that needs a patch but the vinyl has gotten so stiff and old, the glue doesn't work well. the sun exposed areas are fraying badly, two sleeves have started splitting and are now held together with as-seen-on-teevee tape. all are painted with as-seen-on-teevee paint and could use another coar. a bunch of legs are about to rust out at the very bottoms and one leg has already been propped up with a couple of lengths of 2 x 4. other than that the thing is fine! the old pump is rattling away, never dies despite muliple times of low water and sucking air for hours over the years.

Are you still using the same pool? I live in the Midwest and get some pretty cold winters. I have the 24ft Bestway, and it's been up for almost 8yrs now. Seems to still be going strong! Just the tops of the liners are fraying due to uv damage. I leave it out all year long and close and cover it just like a regular permanent pool. I paid a little less than $800 for it when I first purchased it. I started wondering how much more life is left in this thing.

I came across a deal Menards had on an exact replacement, for $799 with the 11% rebate, do I purchased it, but still have yet to pick it up. Wondering if it's worth returning and holding off a few more years, or just replacing it now. As good as the deal is, it's still a good amount I could put to use elsewhere.

Came across your experience from a few years ago and wondering what ended up happening to it since. Also what size, and did you leave it up all year? Thanks!
