Hi all! I have a 30k gallon in ground pool. I just bought a circupool Rj60+ and a Pentair superflo VS. I’m looking for advice on the best installation for these items. As well as anything else you may see that is incorrect or needs fixing on the pad. I’ve posted some photos below for reference. Thank you!

Sounds good. I also learned that the superflo needs 10 inches of straight line on the suction end. My current setup has the pump directly up to the suction valve so I should have to move the pump. Moving the pump straight back would not leave room for the filter drain. Any suggestions on where to route the pump? I was thinking of putting it off the left and rotated 90 degrees of what it currently is, but that would require using a few 90s on the return to get back to the current return valve before the filter. Also any suggestions for what to use as a base, as the current base has sunken in the mud over the years. Thanks!

That is ideal. But nearly all of us have a VS pump with no where near that on the suction side, without issue. So what you have will likely work fine. Just limit the rpm for priming to what is really needed.

You are correct. You likely, (check the measurements) have DWV couplers, not schedule 40. DWV is rate for 15PSI, pool typically runs up to ~30psi...hence the use of schedule 40...

Sched 40 on the left, DWV on the right.

It seems they are indeed the shorter Dwv couplings (pressure rated to 5psi according to the specs)… any ideas on the easiest way to fix this? Or if it needs to be fixed in the first place? I would need to somehow remove the couplings from the valves and unions to fix this without spending a ton of money.
