I have been using liquid chlorine over the past three years in my liner pool. I did notice that the liner was losing its color all around the waterline and more next to the spot where I usually pour chlorine. How do you guys apply liquid chlorine to your pools with the least damage to the liner?

Pour slowly at the return jets with pump running. If you have low water flow out of the returns, you can always brush the area briefly, but the chlorine should dissipate quickly. Discoloration at the waterline is more indicative of liner aging, questionable water chemistry, or in some cases scaling.

I'll add it took me WAY to long to realize of you pour just above water level, it splashes alot less than standing there pouring it chest high. Don't mind me, I'm slow. 
It was only 1 shirt. Thanks to the SWG, I understood bleach like Marty understands rain. I knew it was a thing, but only seeing it once every 6 years....
Is SWG easier on the liner than liquid chlorine? I just got a new liner installed, and I am wondering if switching to SWG will prolong the line of the liner.

No difference if the fc level & other parameters are the same. Fc is fc no matter how it got there.
UV is a larger contributor to liner fading than the tfp recommended fc levels.
I can attest to this because when I moved my wedding cake steps to a new location it was obvious where they had been the previous 3 seasons. The liner was slightly darker only in that spot.
For adding liquid chlorine I always pour slowly infront of the return with one hand & stir with the brush with the other to ensure no concentrated chlorine ends up on the liner then I brush the wall in that area afterwards.
If holding the jug is a problem try floating it on the water- its a game changer.
