Has anyone ever used Baquaspa products instead of chlorine? I used to have a swimming pool and used Baquacil products instead of chlorine. It was clean and had no harsh chlorine smells or residue on the skin. I'm not sure how well it works in a hot tub...

Welcome and good to have you here :)

We use Trouble Free Pool Care (TFPC) for its low cost, safest and cleanest water. We believe a pool should always be available for swimming when it's warm enough. Just real practical down to earth stuff, backed by decades of science, 1000s of pools and spas, and over 100,000 members. Try TFPC. Be free.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately my spouse has major allergies and asthma and cannot handle chlorine. I work at a water treatment plant and completely understand the benefits of chlorine, but cannot use them in the hot tub.

Year after year, we discuss, chlorine "allergies" and find that 98% (or more) of them are from mismanaged pool/spa water causing extraordinary presence of combined chlorimines which can certainly be an irritant. Chlorine in a properly managed pool/spa is virtually trouble free.

That said, how about bromine?
