Baquacil question

Have 18’ round 54” deep above ground pool only had it 2 years…QUESTION…we use Baquacil and live in upstate NY…We are not planning on closing pool until October 21…we will be gone for a period of 7 days during this time…after we balance water prior to leaving is there any thing else Baquacil wise we should do
besides keeping pump running??? Thank you!!!

You may not get many responses, as this is a chlorine based forum,
this subforum exists solely for the purpose of helping people convert to chlorine & get rid of Baquacil.
There are a few baqua users around, maybe one will pop in soon

Before you leave, add a substantial amount of oxidizer a few days prior to ensure the water is as clean as possible. Then, boost your Sanitizer levels towards the higher end and incorporate the algaecide. Lastly, fingers crossed and say a little prayer. It's always challenging when unexpected issues arise right before closing, and we'd hate for you to return to a green pool that costs a lot to clear up.

May I ask two questions,

• Have you considered a switch to chlorine next year?
• If yes, how many more swim days do you anticipate after you return home?
