Balancing Pool after Refill

Hello community,

I drained and chlorine washed my pool for the first time. I had to drain my pool do to high CH (925ppm) and getting no where with the SLAMing process.

As of this morning I finished refilling my pool. However, I am not sure where to begin when it comes to adding chemicals and balancing my pool after a refill.

Also, do I perform the SLAMing process after the refill?

These are my current PoolMath results:


One more thing, me living in Arizona and temperatures in the summer here can get as high as 115-120°. Should I increase my CYA, I’ll be using Natural Chemistry Instant Conditioner, and what would be an ideal value?

Raise your CYA to 60 ppm with your conditioner.

Add 8 ppm of liquid chlorine and test daily to maintain that level.

Your TA and pH are fine. Keep your pH in the 7's.

Your CH is fine.
