Baking soda is clogging the cell

I had an idea of putting 2 kg baking soda in the pool.
My pool is 43 m3 and i wanted to raise TA from 70 to 100.
I put in 900 g, they said not to put in more than that at a time.
I thought I should also run the pump for some hours to have the powder to mix faster.
Some hours later I noticed that my display for the chlorinator did not show digits, for how many % the cell is working.
Then I saw that the cell was really clogged. I think that the baking soda has made that.
So now I have to make a big cleaning job,
Now i should like to ask you, does it have to be like this?

How did you add the baking soda? It should be added to the pool water. Do not add any chemicals directly into the skimmer.

I suspect you can take the SWCG off and just wash the baking soda out of it.

No need to raise your TA. Leave it unless it drops below 50 ppm.

Baking soda is quick to dissolve. So, it won't clog a cell, especially if the cell is after a filter. You might have scale in the cell.

You probably didn't need to add anything.

The TA was fine unless the pH was continuously going too low.

What are all of the chemistry readings?

Can you post a picture of everything?
