Bad Pentair check valve

The Pentair check valve on my water fill line has gone bad after just a couple of years. The PB installers plumbed it directly into a 2in T. I’d like to replace it with a Janey check valve with a clear top. The part I’m struggling with is how to get the old check valve out of the T. I have a 2in reamer, but it won’t fit inside the check valve (it’s about 1/4 inch too big.) As you can see from the photo, the installers didn’t leave me a lot of room to cut the T out either. I’d appreciate any suggestions on the best way to do this.

Cut at the red line and 1.5" PVC pipe will fit into the remaining part.

The part is designed to accept 1.5" PVC pipe inside or a 2" fitting outside.

A fill line has to have an approved backflow preventer and a pool check valve is not code compliant.

I like it! I do have a back flow preventer at the hose bib as well. I disconnect the fill line before freezing weather to prevent problems. That’s when I found out the check valve was bad. Thanks !
