We live in Los Angeles and have a pool that is probably 40 years old or more. When we purchased our house 15 years ago, we renovated the pool by adding a spa, new tile and plaster. We didn't redo the painted concrete decking. Since we now we realize the decking will never look good because of constantly peeling paint, we are about to redo the decking. The pool "coping" is formed from the concrete deck, so we are planning to demo the decking, install stone pavers and coping. We figured we would replaster the pool later.
The search for paver information lead me to this website. After looking at great pool renovations, I am know thinking of redoing the pool tile as well for a whole new look.
Question - Can I do coping and decking renovation first? How are pool and decking renovations typically ordered?
