Backyard Oasis Build Thread - Houston - All Done. =)

Almost done…turf boarder was installed, grading was last week, fence was pressure washed and stained (not by PB), eagleston holly trees were planted (not by PB) and my two fans were installed in the patio.
We have some issue with the skimmer basket covers; my PB wants it to look seemless so he is doing something fancy that I don’t understand but promises me it will look amazing 😊

The tree guys used the extra dirt and leveled some more for me…overall things are good!
Here are some pics

Looking great. I agree that if he can make that white square over your skimmer "disappear" then that is really attention to detail. Good PB!!!!

I’ll post a pic once it’s complete. He says he has a vision for the two skimmer baskets and the auto fill cover. He hates that it goes through the turf and travertine so I think it’s a combo turf/travertine cover? I’ll post once it’s done. They said to trust them on it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Here are the skimmer basket lids and auto fill lid with turf and travertine. Looks pretty cool to me.

Beautiful pool!

The Eagleston hollies will be around 14' wide when they are mature. You might want to space them out a little more (I have mine 15-17' apart).

Thanks! I actually wanted to pleat them eventually - so a privacy hedge up top. If that makes sense. They are currently at 7.5 feet apart. Kinda like the attached. I have plants/hedges coming for the lower part later this month

More pics of our build after the grass and shrubs have been put in. We love it! The planters for the columns have come in and hubby and I will work on those soon.

Nice what type of stacked stone / tile did you use on the backwall of the pool and was their grout used if it was the stacked stone tile variety to hide the interlocking gaps?

Npt carrera marble porcelain tile. They did grout it but used one that is needed for the outside/pool. I can’t remember what it’s called but my PM is coming tomorrow to check on some stuff so I can ask him.

Thanks.. yes, based on how our fujiwa quarzo gold tile turned out, I was thinking of a grout to hide the joints as you can see below

Such a beautiful build! Would love to know what planters you ended up ordering. I've been on the lookout for some but haven't found the right look/material.
