Autopilot Low amp warning -- depleted cell or bad cable?

Hey, I have a Autopilot Dig-220, and am getting the Warning Low Amps--Cell? error. I have a RC-42 that is 5 1/2 yrs old, the readings are:

Salt 3000ppm
Temp 85 deg F
32V 3.0A (was 2.8A then I cleaned the cell)
Power level 2
The cord connections are tight and not loose.

I'm guessing it's a cord issue or depleted cell, but how can I tell which one?
