Hi, wondering if someone can help me. I have a autopilot salt generator the 48 cell i have is old and weak. so i purchased a "new" compupool GRC/AP48 cell from a guy on ebay.
i installed it and brought my power level back to 1 . at first i was getting 27v and 11 amps then the amps dropped down to 7.1.. left it for a while and came back to find the red light blinking and it said Control Error.
I but my old cell back in and now i have an expensive paper weight on my desk..LOl.
Can somebody please help me with this? is it a bad cell or do i need to do something in the settings?
Thank you all!!!

Make sure that the correct cell type is selected.

Try setting the power to level 2.

At any time did you add salt while the cell was on?

I would still check the fuses and the circuit board for any obvious damage.

no damage, no salt added,& fuse is ok.. right now seems to be running on level 2 @ 27v and 6.5 Amps. then i switched it back to level 1 it jumped to 27v and 11.2 AMP? not sure why.. but it back to level 2 waiting to see what happens. been running a few hours at level 2 says 28v 6.5 amps. think I'm ok?? any idea why 11 amps on level 1??
Thank you all!!

I'm not sure that it's the circuit board. I suspect that it probably is, but it might not be.

It might be an issue with the new cell.

The power supply parts are replaceable, but it's probably best to get the whole new box.
