I just purchase a Jandy variable speed pump and Jandy IQPUMP01 controller. The IQPUMP01 unit connects to the pump with a three wire cable that is wrapped in a casing. I think I am going to mount the unit inside of my basement as the equipment is right outside. I have to drill another hole for my speaker conduit anyway.
My question is, do installers usually use some sort of conduit like Liquidtite to run the Jandy automation cables inside of? I feel like that would be cleaner but maybe I’m wasting my time and that cable is already supposed to be subjected to the elements? Obviously I’ll have a conduit going through the basement wall but I am referring to a flexible conduit that covers the cable from the pump to the inside of the house.
I may add more automation equipment over time but I don’t know if I will mount anything else inside. I know the IQPUMP01 is meant to be outside but the sun beats in that side of my house all day long.
