We have been getting non stop rain here and my pool is coming pretty close to over flowing I have been pumping it every day with a submersible pump. Do they make anything that can automatically level the water when it gets to high?

Only a pool with a built in overflow port and drainage would do what you want.

Did the plumber install the equipment with a hose spigot tee’d off the discharge of the pump’s wet end? If they had installed that then you could forget about the sub pump.

You can see one in this pic. Just to the right of the big filter on the right, on top of the white PVC pipe coming out of the pump:

PS. Hope it was OK to borrow your pic, back_yard_lap_pool, I don't have one of these on my pad...

You can see them on my skid. One on top of the waterfall/accessory pump, and one off the top of the main pump.

I would agree with that. If there is an actual external drain, that is clearly the best way of getting rid of water.

Most pools with cartridge filters obviously don't have sanitary drains though, and that is where a house bib is handy.

But if you have a real drain, definitely use that.
