Autofill float valve question

I broke my autofill float valve and threw it away. I ordered this one on Amazon. It is too big to screw into the hole. Nobody told me there were different size threads in plumbing. Would anyone care to stab a guess as to what the correct float valve could be?

Could it possibly be this one?

The best way is to go to the big box store and buy plastic threaded plugs in a few sizes and see which one works. Then order fill valve with the same tread size.

It is usually the 3/8"

I did the exact same thing. I’ve had 3 pools with Autofills and they’re all 3/8”. Like this one. I don’t recommend the ones with plastic threads as there’s no locking nut.
