I want to install either a pentair intellilevel or a Jandy levelor in my new pool build. I know for the auto fill i am going to have a 2" static line going back to the equipment pad (that is were the main components for auto fill will be located).
My question is.....how can i make my pool have "auto" overflow utilizing that static line for the auto fill????? Is it possible?

I don't like having the drain hooked to the skimmer because it could get clogged with leaves and debris (In south Florida...lots of high wind rain storms). Also if pool has a lot of people in it and is "wavy" i will lose a lot of water through the skimmer drain (which will in turn cost more money to replace water with auto fill).

Sooooooo.....Is there a way to put a drain line in with out being susceptible to debris clogging and waves?????

For the waves we have one member that bought or made (I will have to ask her where she got it) a cover for the overflow grate. I can/will ask her if you want.

For the leaves and stuff you could build a small pvc "cage" that will block the leaves but if you do this in the skimmer then you will have to net all of your leaves out.

Most overflows are just a hole piped with PVC at the top of the waterline tile with a grate over it. It is plumbed to daylight over there where it will not flood any neighbors and such.
