Hey everyone thought I would see if anyone has ever dealt with this strange issue before. My pool has an auto fill it is the toilet valve style with the threaded pipe at the bottom of a sump next to the pool. My issue is that no toilet valve or bottom feed auto fill is tall enough to raise the valve high enough on the water line to keep the water at correct height. I have tried tons of valves, and it never has worked since I bought the house, it almost seems like the pool builder did some wrong math and set it to low, an extension pipe of some kind would do the job but I've searched everywhere but an extension or rider with big enough non tapered threads on those fill valves I cannot find. Has anyone ever dealt with this?? Or maybe I'm missing something ?

My autofill is just the basic float valve similar to a swamp cooler.

I am sure there are others with your type float valve.

Have you tried the Fluidmaster brand? The shaft and the float are both adjustable.
I have a Fluidmaster 400H model in my A&A Quik Water Leveler. It originally came with a Korky brand valve.

Who is the manufacturer of your autofill?

The threads on normal toilet valves are 3/4" Hose size (normal garden hose size). Don't if that is true for your fill valve, but it should be easy enough to test.
If that is the case most HW stores (Lowes, Home Depot, etc) have PVC adapters from 3/4 hose to 3/4 IP so a pair of such adapters and a short 3/4" PVC nipple would make an extender.

You may find you run into a separate issue. The length of the can is a fixed distance from bottom to lid, so if it was set low, extending the float might top out to lid before you reach your height. I'm right at the lid on my vertical mount assembly, which is my max level, but to raise any more would require raising the can.

The lid will fit I just need a little higher than any valve will adjust, I will dou le check today but I'm pretty sure the thread on the valve is 7/8" that's why I'm having such a hard time finding something.
