atwoods pool shock..BB Date

I read on here before about atwoods having the BB date on their chlorine. What nobody said was, if it says 2022, how does this make it FRESH or if it is any good. I understand the date , but others, and i believe this say that liquid chlorine shouldnt be over 3 months old. This, if used by the bb date, is truly going to be old. Also, it says other ingredients, but it doesnt say WHAT they are. Any advise on whether i should use this or not? Our supplies around here are limited as Walmart and Lowes are out of stock. Thanks in advance for any help. Any other alternatives that won't put cya or anything else in my pool?
 
Hey Charlie !!! I looked you up and saw that you have a Tractor Supply Co too. Or any hardware stores. The car wash might even sell you some of their commercial stash and they probably go through a lot so it would be fresh.

‘other ingredients’ are water. As long as the label doesn’t have any ‘splash less, color technologies, scents, etc’.

We recommend 3 months or less to allow some time to use it also. It degrades to 6% somewhat quickly but takes a long time to go further. You could always try Atwoods and see what it changes the FC to. If it’s mostly strong enough you can get by the rest of the year with it. Hopefully next season will be better for everyone.

Thanks so much. tractor supply diesnt have any, but I sure never thought of the carwash! we dont have any other hardware stores, but i just remembered there is one in neighboring town a few miles away. Hope they have some. Thanks so much.
