Attach or insert?

Which is preferred?

If I'm understanding you correctly, I only use -insert-when I want a keyword to be a link to something relevant with the discussion. For posting pics etc, I use attach.

The above was done using the image icon just to the left of the smiley face. Now same thing using attach. I guess it really doesn't matter?

I think attach works better for pictures like you said.

My mistake...thought you meant the other one. I've seen the one you're taking about but never tried it. I may have to play around with it more to see if there's any advantage. On my end...the first pic is full sized, the one with -attach- is a thumbnail. My own preference is to see the full size without clicking anything.

I think I answered my own question and like the inset image better now.
It seems different forums use different functions for posting pics.

It is clearly just a beauty is in the eyes of the beholder issue, but at least now we both understand the choices. Thanks for replying!
