Hello
numbers from 5/18:
CH 325 FC 6 ph 8.2 TA 110 CYA 50 csi .4 something

numbers from 5/28 (today)
CH 325 FC 3 ph 8.2 TA 90 CYA 70 csi 0.47

On 5/18, I added the right amount of acid to bring that ph down to 7.8. Today, I added that same amount to lower the ph. It hasn't rained since 5/18, and nothing has changed.

Why didn't the ph go down on 5/18? I know it's a rhetorical question perhaps...

Your high TA is causing the pH to bounce back after you lower it.

Test the pH 30 minutes after you add acid to see where it was lowered to.

Keep on lowering your pH and in time your TA will come down.

thank you AJ
I just tested 8.0, so I'll add acid to bring it down to 7.8.
You mentioned a "high TA" at 90; it should be closer to 60, no? I just looked at the recommended levels.
