Are one piece skimmers better

I am getting a new wide mouth skimmer and was wondering if the one piece skimmers are any better then the two piece skimmers.

What type pool is this for?

If it's an aboveground pool it doesn't matter if it's two piece.
If it's an inground pool there's some argument that a one piece is better, but I'm not sure it matters all that much because it gets encased in concrete so it's not going anywhere.

It's for an above ground.

Then I wouldn't worry about whether it's one piece or two piece.
