Like the majority of you knows , taylot test kit and taylor reagents are extremely expensive here in Canada. So I'm searching an alternative to test Total Alkalinity. What is your opinion about aquarium KH test product ? Something like this Alkalinity Test Kit - Aquaforest. Here is the pdf manual : https://aquaforest.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/AF-TestPro_Alkalinity_manual.pdf. It can perform 78 to 100 tests. It cost 18$ CAD

I personally wouldn't trust an aquarium test since it isn't designed for use in a chlorine environment.
More to the point: we don't just recommend the Taylor kit because of the TA test. How are you testing your FC and CC? CYA? Those are important tests you probably aren't getting from an aquarium store...

CYA with the Pentair R151226 , PH with ph-meter(with manual calibration) , Simple OTO for Chlorine . I was just curious about auarium TA test and if folks here already did some comparaison .
