My Aquarite reads a salt level of 3600, and when I reverse polarity it reads 2800. I just cleaned the cell due to a “check salt” light. The higher reading is closer to the actual salt level. I know the unit can vary from test reading by as much as 300-400, but with near 1k variance in the two polarities, it will be hard to keep within the operational limits.

Do you think it would do any good to clean it again, or should I just bite the bullet and start shopping for a new cell?

4.5 years old. If I have to replace it, I’m thinking about replacing the entire system since the controller is 15 years old.

I was looking at the PureLine PL-7704. Rated at 60k gallon with a max output of 3.18 lb per day. 3 year warranty. The controller appears to basically be an AquaRite clone, but it puts out 2x as much chlorine at about 2/3 of the cost of the AQR-15. Does anyone have any experience with the Crystal Pure system by PureLine?
